Back on 7/31/09 I spoke to Taxmasters of Houston, TX and decided to use their services. They took down all the info necessary including a cc#, saying that until I sign the poa and other docs that they would send me an hour later via email, they can’t do anything. After I looked over their contract, I reconsidered and told them I did not wish to use them after all

I’ve been paid $98,000 over the past sixteen months by a company involved in a class action lawsuit, they called first six months pay severance and the last ten months a consulting fee, although I haven’t really provided any consulting services, basicly I was paid to lay low and keep my mouth shut because I have information that could prove damaging to their defense against the class action lawsuit. Is it legal for them to do this?
